Mr. Robert Lee “Bob” Stone, age 78 of Pearson, Ga. passed away, Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga., following a brief illness. 

 

He was born, April 24, 1943, in Atkinson County, son of Leonard and Lucille Maine Stone.  Mr. Stone lived most of his life in Lanier County and moved to Pearson about four years ago.  He was a farmer and helped with Lee Ivey Farms for many years. Mr. Stone always stayed busy and enjoyed being outside, whether it was going fishing or working in his garden.  He loved spending time with friends and family.  Mr. Stone was preceded in death, along with his parents, by his sister, Peggy Stone.

Survivors include:

Wife:  Linda Stone of Pearson, Ga.

3 Sons:  Robbie Stone and wife, Landy of Pearson, Ga.

Robert Lee Stone, Jr. of Daytona, Fla.

Selly Stone of Douglas, Ga.

Daughter:  Teresa Sanders of Pearson, Ga.

Brother:  Gene Stone of Fitzgerald, Ga.

3 Grandchildren:  Tayman Stone of Pearson, Ga.

Cheyenne Stone of Valdosta, Ga.

Emily Stone of Ashburn, Ga.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Bobby were held Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Live Oak Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Mike C. Green officiating.  Special musical selections included “Go Rest Hight” and “Amazing Grace” both rendered by cd.  The interment followed in Live Oak Cemetery.

Serving as active pallbearers were:  Tayman Stone, Mickey Braddy, Bennie Reliford, Jr., and Andy Brogdon.

Relihan Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
