Coffee Regional Medical Center will soon pause the administration of COVID-19 vaccines to the public. CRMC’s COVID-19 vaccination clinic will continue to administer subsequent doses through Wednesday, March 16, 2022, including boosters, to those individuals who have already received an initial dose at the CRMC vaccine clinic. COVID-19 vaccines are available to the public through the Coffee County Health Department located at 1111 West Baker Highway, Douglas, Ga as well as at most local pharmacies.

According to the Department of Public Health, nearly 40% of Coffee County residents have been vaccinated with both doses of either the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine or have received one dose of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. Coffee Regional Medical Center urges the everyone in our community to be vaccinated and/or boosted if you have not already done so. For more information on COVID vaccines and booster shots, please visit https://dph.georgia.gov/covid-vaccine. In addition to being vaccinated, please, stay safe by washing your hands, isolating yourself at home if you are ill, and covering coughs and sneezes to reduce the spread of germs.

The Emergency Department at Coffee Regional does not offer walk-in COVID-19 testing. Mako Medical will continue to offer testing at the drive-thru tents in the CRMC parking lot Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 3:00pm and the first Saturday of each month from 8:30am – 12:30pm. Registration is required to be tested at the drive-through tents. The CRMC Walk-In Clinic does offer COVID-19 testing for those with symptoms, as do local pharmacies. For more information and hours of operation, please visit CoffeeRegional.org.

If you believe you have been exposed to COVID-19, test positive, or begin to feel symptoms, please follow the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) guidelines and self-isolate for 5 days. If symptoms persist or worsen, stay home for an additional 5 days until you improve. If by day 5 your symptoms have improved, you may leave the house with a mask, as recommended by the CDC. For more information, please visit www.cdc.gov/coronavirus.
