Mr. Henry Woodrow “Bud” Vickers, Jr, age 86, of Westminster, SC passed away Monday, August 15, 2022, at his residence following an extended illness.

 

 

Born in Pearson, Georgia, on February 18, 1936, Bud was the son of the late Henry Woodrow Vickers, Sr, and Hazel Estelle Cannon Vickers. He was a retired sawyer from Union Camp and was a United States Air Force veteran. 

 

 

Bud is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Juanita Crosby Vickers; children, Henry Woodrow Vickers, Bruce Wayne Vickers, Patricia Retina Gill, William David Coffey, Gecheshila Benita Alexander, Vicky Lynn Osborne, and Aaron Tyler Slacum; brother, Ashley Vickers; sisters, Beadie Davis, and Kay Mullis.

 

 

In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by a brother, Wendell Vickers.

 

 

Funeral services were held at 11:00 am, Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Relihan Funeral Home Chapel, in Pearson, Georgia, with Rev. Jerry Worzella officiating.  Special musical selections included “Rock of Ages” and “Amazing Grace” rendered by cd.  The interment followed in Carver Baptist Church Cemetery in Douglas, Georgia with dedication of the grave given by Bro. Stevie Sirmans.

 

 

Serving as active pallbearers were:  Levi Alexander, Justin Brown, David Coffee, Aaron Slacum, Tommy Alexander, and Will Coffee.

 

 

Sandifer Funeral Home in Westminster, SC, along with Relihan Funeral Home were in charge of the arrangements.
