Mr. William “Billy” Seymour, Jr., age 65 years old, of Pearson, Ga. passed away, Friday, December 16, 2022, at his home following a short illness.  He was born, October 21, 1957, in Jacksonville, Fla., son of William Bruce and Clara Lucille Bennett Seymour.  

 

 

Mr. Billy made his home in the Axson area for most of his life, where he, along with his wife Teresa, raised their children.  He took great pride in taking care of and providing for his family.  He worked for many years as a supervisor for TLC Mouldings Inc. in Willacoochee, Ga.  Mr. Billy loved hunting, fishing, and enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially his grandchildren and great-grands.  He was preceded in death, along with his parents, by his son, Brad Seymour.

 

 

Survivors include:

 

 

Wife:  Teresa Gurley Seymour of Pearson, Ga.

 

 

2 Daughters:  Stephanie Sutton and husband, Charles of Axson, Ga.

Lucinda Marchman and husband, Steve of Pearson, Ga.

 

 

2 Sisters:  Lucy Elaine Hinson of Waycross, Ga.

Charlotte Annette Gay and husband, Don of Fernandina Beach, Fla.

 

 

8 Grandchildren, 4 Great-Grandchildren along with several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives also survive.

 

 

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Billy were held Monday, December 19, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Rev. Edward Mathews and Mr. Don Baker officiating.  Special musical selections included, “Old Man”, “Dancing in the Sky”, “Daddy’s Hands”, and “Let It Be Christmas”, all rendered by cd.  The interment followed in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

 

 

Serving as active pallbearers were:  Sharon Gurley, D.J. Gurley, Joey Gurley, Donovan Gurley, Timothy Gurley, Dean Barber, and Blake Luke.

 

 

Relihan Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
