Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Clements Nugent, age 92 years old of Pearson, Ga., passed away at her home on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, following an extended illness.  

 

 

She was born in Jeff Davis County, Ga., on March 26, 1930, daughter of Robert Lee and Stella Mae Lamb Clements.  Mrs. Dot made her home in Pearson for the last 68 years, where she was a teacher with the Atkinson County Board of Education.  After retirement, she enjoyed staying very active while taking care of her rental properties and spending time with friends and family.  Mrs. Dot was of the Methodist faith and a member of Pearson United Methodist Church.  She was preceded in death, along with her parents, by her husband, Clifton Nugent, son; Parker Nugent, and son in law; Rob Wiles.

 

 

Survivors include:

 

 

Daughter:  Debbie Wiles of Brunswick, Ga.

 

 

2 Nephews:  Mike Taylor of Fernandina Beach, Fla.

Don Dart of St. Simons Island, Ga.

 

 

Grandson:  Parker Clifton Wiles of Brunswick, Ga.

 

 

Memorialization was by cremation.

 

 

 

Relihan Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
