At around 10:15 p.m. on December 27, 2025, a deputy responded to an Elize Anderson Road address in reference to a phone hacking call.
When the officer arrived, the subject, identified as Edgar Cervantes-Garcia, 37, of Douglas, stated that someone was watching his phone and his activity. Cervantes-Garcia had videos but according to the incident report, the videos showed nothing and “provided no context or relevance to the accusations that were being made.” The report says that Cervantes-Garcia was not making any sense.
Officers noted that in the last month, Cervantes-Garcia had called 911 10 times and made various statements, including that people were underneath his house, interfering with his phone, and trying to kill him. Each time, officers found no evidence to support his statements, the report says.
This time, Cervantes-Garcia was arrested and charged with unlawful conduct during 911 calls. He was transported to the Coffee County Jail and later released.
