A deputy arrested a female subject after she allegedly threatened to kill a family member while the deputy was on the scene.
According to an incident report from the sheriff’s office, a deputy responded to a call on Red Clay Road in reference to a possible domestic incident on April 21, 2026, at around 2 p.m. The officer arrived and found Melissa Marie Trentini, 53, of Douglas, at the residence. The report says that she admitted to being drunk when the officer arrived.
The report says that she and a male family member had been arguing. The male said that the argument had gotten a little physical – he had pushed her to keep her off of him. When the officer spoke with Trentini, the report says that she would talk normally at times. Other times, she would start yelling, saying that she couldn’t take it anymore and she was going to end it today. She also got up several times and started walking toward the male, according to the report.
Multiple times, Trentini stated that she would kill the male, “put a bullet in his head, and it will end today.” By this time, another officer arrived and the two deputies decided that Trentini couldn’t stay in the house.
They arrested her and charged her with terroristic threats and acts. She was transported to the Coffee County Jail and later released on a property bond.
