Wednesday evening, Bacon County deputies and troopers from the Georgia State Patrol investigated a fatal side-by-side accident on Caraway Road.
According to a statement released by the Bacon County Sheriff’s Office on its Facebook page, deputies were dispatched to the scene at 6:42 p.m. A side-by-side had overturned with seven individuals – three adults and four juveniles – in the vehicle.
Two of the adults were flown to a trauma center via Air Evac, the statement said. Another adult was transported to Bacon County Hospital. He succumbed to his injuries there. The statement also said that one of the four juveniles suffered minor injuries.
The investigation into the accident is active and ongoing.
