Throughout February, the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office Drug Interdiction and Criminal Enforcement Unit conducted an aggressive series of operations that resulted in the arrest of multiple offenders on charges ranging from felony narcotics possession to outstanding warrants, probation violations, obstruction, and weapons related offenses. The month’s activity underscores the unit’s zero tolerance approach toward drug activity and criminal behavior within Coffee County, where even minor violations are used as lawful entry points to identify fugitives, seize illegal substances, and remove dangerous individuals from the community. By Michael Dockery Over the last year, I’ve had hundreds of conversations across our district. On porches. In driveways. At ballfields. At church. At small businesses. And I’ve noticed something. People aren’t angry as much as they’re tired. Tired of feeling like politics is noise. Tired of headlines that don’t change their daily lives. Tired of watching decisions get made somewhere else while they deal with rising costs here at home. Most families I talk to aren’t asking for dramatic change. They’re asking for steady direction. They want to know that someone is thinking long-term about our communities — not…
