The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Elsy Stefany Sanchez Lopez following an investigation into identity theft and forgery. Investigators determined that Lopez used fraudulent identification documents, including another individual’s Social Security card and identification, to obtain employment at local businesses between 2025 and 2026. The investigation revealed the use of multiple false identities. Once the fraudulent documentation was confirmed, the suspect was terminated from employment.
