Mrs. Lucille Shrouder Teston, age 81, passed away Monday, July 27, 2015, at the Coffee Regional Medical Center, following a short illness. She was born December 4, 1933, to the late Jessie J. “Jim” Shrouder and the late Donnie Whiddon Shrouder. Wiregrass Georgia Technical College is pleased to announce the summer 2015 commencement is scheduled for August 5, 2015. Satilla Regional Library System had Mr. Ron Collins perform his Tampa Taiko Drumming show for its final Summer Reading Program performance of 2015 on Wednesday, July 22. There was an ice cream party immediately following both performances. Mr. Collins talked about how his drums were made, the history of different Japanese instruments including the Shakuhachi, a Japanese bamboo flute, and the history of Taiko drumming. He brought his Shakuhachi and demonstrated tunes to the audience and introduced new Japanese words, while tying them in with existing words that are commonly used that are of Japanese origin. There were many great performances that included juggling, magic, balloons, the zoo, theatre, folk music and storytelling, and taiko drumming.
