Wiregrass Georgia Technical College and the City of Douglas Police Department will offer a handgun safety course for women on Saturday, March 14, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The course will cover firearms safety procedures, Georgia firearms laws, methods of safe carry and storage and proper loading and unloading. Linda Murray, age 67, of Douglas, GA passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2015, at Speciality Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Murray was born on September 24, 1947. Survivors include: her husband, Clarence Taylor of Douglas, GA; son, Charles Greg Parham of Hope Mills, NC; daughter, Donna Lindsey of Douglas, GA; and seven grandchildren.
