Deputies responded to a disorderly person call at 8:40 p.m. on December 11, 2025, and arrested Dillon Griffin, 31, of Douglas, on multiple charges due to “very unusual behavior,” according to a report with the sheriff’s office.
The report says that three deputies responded to the scene and found Griffin across the street from the home at which the alleged incident took place. When they found Griffin, they could not identify him due to “very unusual behavior” and because he was “acting very sporadic and speaking out of his head.”
At the scene, officers spoke with the complainants. They said everything was fine until Griffin jumped on someone inside the home. According to the report, Griffin went after two people at the home, one of which showed visible injuries because of the altercation. They were able to get Griffin out of the house and keep him outside. The report then says that Griffin “became disorderly” and went to a neighbor’s house.
Griffin was arrested and charged with battery, giving a false name and information to police, cruelty to children (1st degree), and two counts of cruelty to children (2nd degree). He was booked into the Coffee County Jail and remains incarcerated.
