A Coffee County Jail officer has been arrested and charged with giving to or possession by inmates prohibited items after he allegedly supplied an inmate with Black and Mild tobacco products and let her out of her cell to perform sex acts for him. A box of Fruity Pebbles led to a kerfuffle at a home on Kamera Road Saturday afternoon. As a result, a 30-year-old Douglas woman was arrested and jailed. According to a sheriff’s office report, a deputy responded to a call of a possible assault at a house on Kamera Road around 6:45 p.m. on Saturday. The officer spoke with the victim who said that she and her roommate, Amy Lynn Anderson, 30, of Douglas, had gotten into a fight. A 26-year-old Douglas woman was arrested and charged with aggravated identity fraud after a Missouri resident discovered that her identity had allegedly been stolen. The victim, a resident of Nixa, Missouri, contacted the Douglas Police Department on April 11, 2025, and reported that an individual who worked at a local industry had stolen her identity, according to a Douglas Police Department report. On the heels of one of the best weeks in CCA Patriots baseball history, the Patriots have emerged as the GIAA’s #1 Class A team in the state. The top 12 teams make the playoffs; the top four receive first-round byes and the top two get home field advantage through the playoffs up to the state finals. The CCA Patriots came away from the GIAA state track and field championships in Locust Grove with one individual state championship and several standout performances. The highlight of the meet came on day two when sophomore Arabelle Roberts won a state title in the high jump. She leapt 5’, two inches ahead of second place. A report from the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office states that on March 28, 2025, a detective in Atkinson County contacted Coffee County authorities and reported that Michael Dees, 56, of Mora had been arrested on possession of methamphetamine charges. Earlier this month, an Ormond Beach, Florida, woman was arrested after she allegedly shoplifted several items from Walmart. During the shoplifting investigation, officers allegedly discovered a quantity of methamphetamine in her possession. According to a report from the Douglas Police Department, an officer went to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting incident.
