A 39-year-old Douglas woman was arrested and jailed after she allegedly sent nude photos of another woman to one of the victim’s relatives without permission, according to an incident report from the Douglas Police Department. The report says that on September 4, 2025, officers responded to a Gordon Street address to meet a complainant. Once officers arrived, they saw where the suspect, identified as Alma Delia Abonza, 39, had allegedly sent nude photos of a relative of the complainant to the complainant. A 50-year-old Douglas man was arrested on several charges, including public indecency, after he allegedly chased a woman into a local restaurant and exposed himself to others at nearby convenience store. The incident report states that on September 12, 2025, just after 3 p.m., a deputy responded to a suspicious vehicle call on Highway 221 North. A side-by-side vehicle accident tragically claimed the life of an 11-year-old Coffee County elementary school student Saturday night. Around 8 p.m. Saturday, first responders answered a call south of Douglas regarding a side-by-side accident. One of the occupants, 11-year-old Treyvion Edwards, suffered serious injuries as a result of the accident. When emergency personnel arrived, they administered life-saving measures but his injuries were too serious. Treyvion was not driving the vehicle when the crash took place.
