Douglas and Coffee County officials were in Atlanta on January 13 for the Annual Okefenokee Occasion. At this annual event, local leaders from 18 counties of the Southern Georgia Regional Commission are given the opportunity to talk with legislators one-on-one about needs in our community. Satilla Regional Library held its Teen Advisory Kick-Off Party on Saturday, January 16, from 12 to 2 p.m. in the large meeting room at the Douglas/Coffee County Public Library. In 2014, the City rolled out its “See Something, Say Something” campaign for the police department.
