Two Coffee Trojans – one current and one former – have made decisions regarding where they will continue their football careers next year. Coffee High senior KJ Debruce has committed to Georgia State while Georgia Military College freshman Tyrese Woodgett will play next year at Georgia Southern. Both schools play in the Football Bowl Subdivision (Division I). Debruce finished his senior season at Coffee High with 859 yards on 159 carries, a 5.4 yard per carry average. An incident report from the Douglas Police Department states that on November 12, 2025, an officer met with the complainant on North Chester Avenue in reference to a theft. The victim stated that his ex-wife, identified as Kayla Danielle DGruber, 36, of Jesup, came to his home and took a security camera. Christopher Allen Dean, 45, of Douglas, was jailed on aggravated assault charges after an alleged domestic dispute on November 4, 2025.
